Our bucket full of blueberries
We've had a great time picking fruit and making jam. My parents have a plum tree in their backyard, and they had a ton of plums this year. We made 12 half pint jars of plum jam, 12 pint jars of strawberry,jam and 8 half pint jars of strawberry jam. I was planning on taking some back to Nebraska with us when we thought that we were driving back, but now that we are flying back, I'm not quite sure how we're going to work that. When we went to pick blueberries, Riley picked quite a few, but none of hers made it into the bucket. ;) She was just sitting there eating blueberries. It was so incredibly hot that day, we left after filling 1 bucket. When we went to pick strawberries, they each did a great job and probably picked about a bucket full between the two of them. They really seemed to enjoy it.
Ship them to Nebraska, or pick them up at Christmas. Can't give up all that delicious jam!
