Winter Quarters Nebraska Temple

We originally had planned on going to the trail center and the Temple this past Saturday in celebration of Pioneer day, but after an 8 hour shift at work for Cassidy, and a long stake activity for me and the kids, we decided to try for a different day. We went yesterday and it was wonderful. At the Mormon Trail Center, we watched a video, went on a tour, and were able to see the "Reflections of Christ" exhibit. Parker was able to dress up as a pioneer, "pull" a handcart and pack a handcart (toy version). The Sister missionary giving our tour was great with Parker and was able to hold his attention by getting him involved in every part of the tour. After leaving the trail center, we walked across the street to the Temple and to the Pioneer Cemetary which is located right behind the Temple. The Temple is much smaller than I thought it would be, but I'm looking forward to when we can return and actually go inside and do a session.
