LES- The Light TruckOne of the first things that I looked into when we found out that we would be moving to Lincoln, was a Children's Museum. Luckily, they do have one, and it just so happens that it's a pretty awesome one. We decided to venture downtown today and check it out. It is huge! We were there for about 1 1/2 hours, and we only made it to 2 of the 3 floors. I loved how they had a wide variety of transportation items for Parker to sit in and play with: Fire Engine, Motorcycle, Tractor, Airplane, Space Shuttle, etc. They also had a life size chess board and connect 4 game. Parker really liked the fire engine, but the area where he spent the most time was the football field. They had a little sports area complete with locker room, mini football field, mini volleyball court, and fans (on the wall) cheering for Nebraska. Go Huskers! He put on the football jersey and helmet all by himself and just kept throwing the ball back and forth. We had a great time, and Parker was very sad to go. I assured him that we will be back often, and we most certainly will.
While we were on our trip, we were told that we needed to check out the pioneer museum in Mindon, NE. It really isn't that far from Lincoln. But the morning we were going through that area, it was raining so hard and a lot of the display is outside. So we had to cancel that little stop. You should go and check it out for us and let us know how it is. Maybe something else fun to take the kids to see!! And for us to come back that direction to see!!
