Discovery Gateway and Splash pad

Yesterday, we met Jamie and her 3 girls at Discovery Gateway in Salt Lake.  That has definitely been a huge benefit of being in Utah for the summer, getting to hang out with them on almost a weekly basis. We used to have a pass to the Children's Museum when we lived in Orem and we would go often, but we hadn't been in years. It was fun to see the different areas that were of interest to Parker and Riley now that hadn't been before, and to see Gavin be able to play around and explore for the first time.  His favorite areas were the balls, water, and piano.  I finally had to take him away from the piano to give someone else a turn! He loved it! Parker and Riley didn't seem nearly as entertained by the museum as a whole as they had before, although they did favor the upstairs more.  We stayed and played for a couple of hours and ate our picnic lunches before heading over the splash pad.  Riley and Lily both wanted to swimsuits on, but neither one of them actually wanted to get wet.  Parker finally decided to get wet,  got soaked, and then immediately wanted to be dry.  So, the Splash pad was not a huge success, although all 6 kids were pleasant and happy, and both babies (Ari & Tess) were fed.  Definitely can't complain about that. :)
