Halloween Festivities

We took the kids out Trick or Treating to a neighborhood fairly close to us. Riley struggled a little, but Parker had a great time. The kids even got a full size candy bar at one house, and a king size candy bar at another. After Trick or Treating, we hurried home to change into Farmer costumes and head to Chipotle for their $2 burrito night. I wish we had gotten pictures. The kids looked like farmers, but it was more like a pathetic attempt for me and Cassidy. We don't even own like a plaid shirt or cowboy hat or anything! Luckily Chipotle didn't really care and we were able to get the deal regardless. It was so delicious and we were able to feed our whole family for what normally would have been the cost of one burrito.

Each year, the Children's Museum has trick or treating on the main level of the museum. There are tons of stations to go to with lots of coupons and candy. I convinced Cassidy to come along by offering dinner at Qdoba. ;) We ate our dinner, then walked over to the museum. After the trick or treating, we went to the other floors to play before heading home.

Thursday night we went to a Halloween party thrown by our friends. It was so much fun to get dressed up and to see everyone's costumes. We had a great time eating and visiting and having the kids play some games.

Playgroup Halloween Party:

Supposed to be stringing cereal onto a necklace, but Riley couldn't be bothered with that step, so she was just chowing down!

Each playgroup before Halloween, we have a party in the cultural hall for the kids with different stations of treats, crafts and games. This year there were cookie witch hats, cereal necklaces, pumpkin and ghost blocks to decorate, handprint ghosts, frankenstein toilet paper rolls (that was our station...I had been saving toilet paper rolls for months and months!), fishing, bowling, pumpkin walk, and ghost lollipop.

Steffan, Caryn, Greyson and Kaden came to visit us a couple of weekends ago. We headed over to the Y to decorate cookies, pumpkins and a leaf ornaments. After that, we headed downstairs to play in the bounce house. We love when they come to visit, and the kids always have a great time together.
