Lydia and Parker inside the Gingerbread house
Last night, we went up to Omaha to the Mormon Trail Center with our friends, the Johnson's, for the Gingerbread Festival. They have it every year for the entire month of December. There are rows and rows of different gingerbread houses, churches, communities, parks, etc... There was even a gingerbread quilt. It was so fun to see the creativity that went into all of the entries this year. There was a gingerbread play house for the kids to play in, gingerbread cut outs to pose in, and a scavenger hunt to find different items within the displays. We had a great time. Another benefit of the evening which turned into a HUGE blessing, was that the longer drive allowed us to realize that the clutch in our Hyundai most likely needs to be replaced. We are so thankful that this came to our attention before our 14 hour drive to Utah in less than 2 weeks!
That is so neat! So where was this? In the basement of the visitor's center? Do you know how long they are leaving it up?
