With his birthday falling on a Thursday, Cassidy still had to put in a regular day at work. Since we had plans that night without the kids, Cassidy came home for lunch so we could celebrate as a family. The kids and I had decorated the door that he would walk through from the garage into the house with a balloon avalanche so all the balloons would fall on him when he opened the door. The kids were so excited for Cassidy to get home! They also decorated his cake for him. I think they were way more excited in general for his birthday than he was! We had a wonderful lunch, and Parker and Riley gave Daddy a 6 pack of IBC Cream Soda that they bought with their own money.
After work, Cassidy and I went out to Brooklyn Bowling, a new bowling alley/restaurant/nightclub as part of the Linq, right next to the High Roller. We were able to eat yummy food and enjoy the comfort of leather couches while waiting our turn to bowl. His work just happened to be taking everyone there that night, so it was fun to be able to meet some of the people that he works with and to be able to share his birthday with them. They even had a cupcake brought out and sang to Cassidy. It was a fun night, and despite having to work, I think Cassidy had a great 30th birthday!
