Pa/Va/Md/De Trip

With my family still living in Maryland, it's hard for us to make it back there as well as an actual vacation to a place where we haven't visited before. This summer, we decided to kill two birds with one stone. Lucky for us, Maryland is located relatively close to so many historical landmarks and my history major of a husband decided that we could and should take advantage of that. We started by flying into Philadelphia, being met by my parents to join us on our journey. While in Philadelphia, we ate philly cheesesteaks, visited Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, and took Parker to an awesome childrens museum (please touch museum). From there, we drove to Lancaster, Pa (Amish Country) ate at a Smorgasbord, rode on a buggy ride, and saw a show at the American Music Theater. After Lancaster, we spent some time in Gettysburg and Fredericksburg touring the battlefields. We then went to Williamsburg, Jamestown and Busch Gardens before heading home to Salisbury. We only stayed in Salisbury long enough to get some laundry done and pack for the beach, and of course make a visit to see MomMom (and Lulu). Not being a huge fan of long car rides, I was very happy to get settled in Ocean City where we would stay for the remaining 8 days. In Ocean City, we were joined by Nate, Melanie and Scarlett, Steffan, Caryn and Greyson, and Jamie and Jeff. The posts that follow show some of the highlights of our trip from Philadelphia, Williamsburg and Ocean City.
