A couple days before Spring Break, the kids and I sat down and made a bucket list of all of the activities, big or small, that we wanted to do during the week. The kids seemed hesitant at first, but then they started coming up with all kinds of ideas, and I started to get nervous that we wouldn't have nearly enough time to get to everything! We had things on there from read x number of pages, to have a sidewalk chalk contest, to going to the Children's Museum, etc. We made it to everything on the list except for swimming, and going to Orange Julius.
Day 1: Calico Basin and Picnic Lunch
Day 2: Play date with Bella, dying Easter Eggs, and Bunny Lunch
Bella's cute little bunny
Dying Easter eggs: Parker liked to dip them in as many different colors as he could, hence the brown egg
This is what a little girl whose egg has rolled off the counter for the 5th time looks like! By the end, she has no eggs to dye because they had all rolled off and cracked on the floor! Poor thing!Bunny lunch outside
Day 3: Children's Museum
Uhh...The Children's Museum during Spring Break?? Not such a great idea! Turns out, everyone else also had this activity on their bucket list. It was packed and pretty hard trying to keep track of all 3 kids. We went back a week later since we weren't able to get to everything that we had wanted to due to the crowds.
Day 4: Springs Preserve and McDonald's Happy Meals
I wish I had taken a picture of Parker's finished snake, he spent A LOT of time alternating colors and making a cool pattern and covering every inch of his snake.
Pretty sure he colored his legs more than the snake...
I didn't get any pictures on Friday, but Day 5 was our Pajama/Movie Day. The kids were thrilled to be able to stay in their p.j's and they chose "Mary Poppins" to watch, so we enjoyed our movie with some popcorn and leftover playdough cookies.
We had a fun week and it was sad to see it come to an end!
