Trick or Treating

On Halloween, we picked Parker up from school and went Trick or Treating at the Law School. It's so fun to take the kids around Daddy's school, and to see the other law school students with their families. I love that they do that every year.  After the Law school, we went with a few other families to some neighborhoods close to where we live to Trick or Treat.  Cassidy had to be back at school that night, so we got started pretty early, and found a fair amount of people not home, but the kids were still able to get lots of candy.  Riley was done getting candy about half way through and was content just pushing Gavin in the stroller.  Parker found it hard to stay with the slower pace of the group and was basically 1-2 houses ahead of us the whole time.  Halloween night, I gave the kids the option of keeping their candy, or putting it out for the Great Pumpkin. If they chose for the Great Pumpkin to come, then the Great Pumpkin would take their candy,and leave a present in its place. They both opted for the present.  The following morning they were both super excited to see that the Great Pumpkin had indeed come, taken their candy, and left a "Cars" bath set for Parker, and a "Princess" bath set for Riley.  They wanted to take baths immediately and asked if the Great Pumpkin could come every year. ;) Thanks to Mickelle for the idea! We had a fun Halloween, but I started to get sad just thinking about the fact that this is our last Halloween in Lincoln!
