Valentine's Day

Cassidy was in charge of planning our date this year, and our valentine's date was definitely a memorable one. I feel like the best way to sum up the mentality that we were forced to take on would be from Elder Wirthlin's last conference address, "Come what may, and love it". I guess what I'm trying to say is that things didn't exactly work out as planned, but we just went with it and had a wonderful evening. The original plan was to go to dinner at Los Hermanos and finish in time to get to the 8:00 pm show at Comedy Sportz. Well, because Cassidy didn't get off of work until 6:30 pm, we weren't able to get to Los Hermanos until around 7:30 pm. So we decided to go to the show first, and then go to dinner. As soon as we had decided that, we got into the line at comedy sportz only to discover that they pretty much work off of reservations. The show was sold out, so we decided to stand in the stand-by line. We felt pretty good about our chances of two people not showing up. We were told that those with reservations had until 8:15 pm to arrive before their seats were given away. Evidently the guy working the door was fairly new. Once 8:15 pm came and went, we were still waiting in the cold. The 8:15 rule doesn't really exist and they never give away the reserved seats because they have already been paid for. So, we waited in line for nothing, although we did make some new friends and had some time to visit. The evening went pretty smoothly from there. We made reservations for the 10:15 pm show, went to eat at Los Hermanos, and then came back for the show. The show was absolutely hilarious and well worth the wait. Good Job Cassidy! :)
