Riley is 4! Goodbye terrible 3's, right?? Isn't that how it works? Fortunately, we were able to bypass the terrible 2's, but the terrible 3's hit us pretty hard here. We started out the morning with our traditional confetti birthday pancakes, and having Riley open some of her presents.   With the Primary Program being the next day, we had a practice at the church that morning.  They served lunch afterwards, so she was thrilled to be able to enjoy pizza and cookies with her friends!  We let the kids choose what they wanted to do on their birthdays, and they both chose the Children's Museum, so off we went again to the Children's Museum.   We had a fun time playing on the pirate ship, earning money "working" at the grocery store,  enduring a hurricane in the hurricane simulator.  With the Primary Program being the following day, the primary program practice (and lunch) fell on Riley's Birthday.  She was pretty excited to be able to enjoy pizza and cookies with all her friends.  Riley's big present was a bike, and she enjoyed being able to go out for a bike ride with her brother.

Here are some things I want to remember about Riley at this age:
She loves to help me in the kitchen
She is continually looking for opportunities to serve
She loves her brothers
She is learning to read, we started a reading program with her last month
She is into cars, Parker's skylanders, and soccer.
Her favorite color is blue.
No girly, pink princess-y things here
