We have been working on teaching Parker to read for the past 3 or 4 months or so.  We recently finished all of the lessons in "Teach your child to read in 100 easy lessons".  (Awesome book by the way, I would highly recommend it) Parker is doing so well and it is so fun to be able to see the progress he is making.  He is now realizing that he can sit down with his books and read them on his own, and I think he really enjoys that freedom.
