Tuesday, we went to the Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead in Overland Park, Kansas. I cannot believe this place was free. (Some of the activities did cost a little extra, but not much) It was awesome! There were nature walks, at least 5 different play grounds, fishing, horse rides, cow milking demonstration, one room school house, lots of animals, goat feeding, wagon rides, ice cream parlor, etc. Riley did great with feeding the goat a bottle until another goat came up and started fighting with the first goat for the bottle. Then, she was definitely done. Parker and Greyson were so excited to ride a horse, and they both loved feeding the goats. I think this is a first for both of them. When we went to the zoo last week, Parker liked the idea of feeding the goats, and would get the food in his hand, but could never quite work up enough courage to actually get the food to the goats mouth. We practically had to pry them away from the goats! It was the perfect end to our mini vacation. After leaving the farmstead, we got in the car and drove the 3+ hrs back to Lincoln.
